NOTICE:
As per the Elmwood Community Resource Centre’s bylaws, we hereby give notice of a Special Meeting.  This Special meeting will be held on Tuesday November 29th at 5:30pm and will take place at 384 Talbot Ave.  The purpose of this meeting is to elect members to vacant positions for The Board of Directors.  If you have any questions or need more information please call 204 982-1720.    Dated November 6th

Nestled along the bank of the Red River, Elmwood is home to some 17,000 people. Here you'll find a rich cultural and social diversity, a thriving local economy, well-kept homes and streets, and beautiful parks and green spaces. Above all, you will find a caring community focused on the well-being and prosperity of its residents.

The staff of Elmwood Community Resource Centre
enjoy their staff meetings in the park.

To better serve this growing community, the Elmwood Community Resource Centre was founded in March 2001 by the Elmwood Interagency Network, Chalmers Neighbourhood Project and West Elmwood Residents Association, in consultation with the Elmwood Community.

In May of 2002, Elmwood Community Resource Centre, Chalmers Neighbourhood Project and West Elmwood Residents Association amalgamated their three organizations to create the Elmwood Community Resource Centre and Area Association (ECRCAA). ECRCAA will oversee the work done by Elmwood Community Resource Centre and the community development initiatives in Elmwood.

Vision

Enhancing the quality of life in Elmwood.

Mission

ECRCAA provides resources and leadership so the people of Elmwood can work together in building a stronger and safer community, making it a more desirable place to live, work, and raise a family.

We will accomplish this by:

1) Developing programs to meet the changing needs of the people in our community.

2) Connecting people, ideas and resources.

OUR NEW LOGO

As part of a refocusing of priorities and in its discussions with the Community, The Elmwood Community Resource Centre and Area Association (ECRCAA) has rebranded itself as the Elmwood Community Resource Centre – ECRC.

This new branding better reflects the ECRC’s role of bridging the community and providing services to all residents of this community.

The branding exercise took several months of development, refinement and community consultations.

Martin Landy, Executive Director says ”This new brand reflects the nature of the community and its relation to the River as well as the diversity of the community”.
